Our commitment

A good number of our customers are older, or have a disability, or find websites hard work. We would rather you could use this site easily — and if you can’t, we would rather you rang us than gave up.

What we’ve tried to do

• Text large enough to read, with strong contrast against the background
• Pages that work when you zoom in, or increase text size in your browser
• Everything reachable with a keyboard, not just a mouse
• Descriptions on images, so screen readers can make sense of them
• Plain English, short sentences, and no jargon
• Forms with clear labels and error messages that say what’s actually wrong

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We have not had the site independently audited, so we can’t claim we fully meet it.

Where we know we fall short

• Our website runs on Squarespace, and some of what it generates is outside our control
• We have not tested the site with every screen reader
• Any PDF we publish may not be fully accessible

You never have to use the website

Everything on this site can be done by phone, and we are happy to do it that way. We will:

• Take a booking over the phone, in full, with no pressure to use a form
• Send confirmations by post instead of email if you prefer
• Speak to a family member or friend on your behalf, with your agreement
• Give you a written summary in large print if that’s easier

The formal bit

We have a duty under the Equality Act 2010 to make reasonable adjustments so that disabled people are not put at a substantial disadvantage. We take that seriously, and we would rather hear about a problem than not.
