What cookies are
Small files a website puts on your device. Some are needed to make the site work; others tell us how the site is being used, or help us measure whether our advertising is working.
What we use
| Category | What it does | Do we need your consent? |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Makes the site work — page loading, security, remembering what you’ve typed into a form, holding your booking while you pay, and remembering your cookie choice | No. These are exempt, and the site cannot work without them |
| Analytics — Google Analytics | Tells us which pages people look at and how they found us, in aggregate. Not used for advertising or to follow you around the internet | Yes. These are not set unless you choose to accept them on the cookie banner |
| Advertising | We do not use advertising or tracking cookies on this site, such as the Meta (Facebook) pixel. If that ever changes, they will be off unless you agree, and this page will say so first | — |
Your choices
The first time you visit, a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies; declining costs you nothing and every part of the site still works. You can change your mind at any time by clearing the cookies for moorstead.co.uk in your browser — the banner will then ask you again.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the strictly necessary ones, parts of the site will stop working — you will not be able to complete a booking.
Cookies our suppliers set
Three suppliers set cookies on this site, all of them to make something work rather than to advertise to you:
| Supplier | Where | What for |
|---|---|---|
| Squarespace | Every page | Running the website itself, and security |
| Acuity Scheduling (a Squarespace company) | The booking calendar on Book a visit | Holding the slot you have chosen while you finish booking |
| Stripe | The payment step, and the membership billing portal | Taking payment and preventing card fraud |
All three are strictly necessary for the part of the site they appear on, so they are set without asking. If you watch an embedded video or use an embedded map, that provider may set cookies too.
