1. Who runs this website

2. What this site is for

Information about our services, and a way to get in touch, make a booking, or join and manage a membership. Bookings and memberships themselves are governed by our Booking Terms & Conditions, not by these terms. Where the two disagree about a booking, the Booking Terms win.

3. Accuracy, and when a booking becomes binding

We try to keep the site accurate and up to date, but we don’t promise it always is. Prices, service areas and availability change, and a rate shown on a page can be out of date. The price that counts is the total shown to you at the moment you book, before you pay.

When you choose a service, a length of time and a start time and pay for it, you have made a booking and we have a contract — you do not have to wait for us to accept it separately. We will send you a confirmation setting out what you have booked and what you paid. If something has gone wrong at our end and we cannot cover the slot, we will tell you as soon as we know and refund you in full; that is the only circumstance in which a paid booking does not stand.

Your cancellation rights, including the 14-day right to change your mind, are in the Booking Terms & Conditions. Nothing here reduces them.

4. What you may and may not do

You may use the site for your own personal or business purposes, and print or download pages for that. You may not copy our text, photographs, logo or brand for your own commercial use, use the site unlawfully or in a way that damages it, attempt to gain unauthorised access, or extract data from it systematically.

5. Our content

The content, design, logo, photographs and text on this site belong to Moorstead or are used with permission. The Moorstead name and mark are ours.

6. Links to other sites

Where we link out — to the ICO, gov.uk, an insurer, a partner business — we’re not responsible for those sites or their content.

7. Our liability

Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.

Subject to that: we provide this website “as is”. We are not liable for loss arising from your use of it, or from it being unavailable. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer, or the separate liability position in our Booking Terms & Conditions for the work we actually do.

8. Changes

We may change these terms. The current version is always at moorstead.co.uk/terms-of-use, dated at the top. Changing these terms does not change a booking you have already made — that stays on the Booking Terms as they stood when you booked.

9. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings there.

10. The parts of this site run by someone else

The booking calendar is provided by Acuity Scheduling and the payment step by Stripe. Both are embedded in our pages, so it still looks like our site, and it is still us you are contracting with. What they do with your information is covered in our Privacy Policy and the cookies they set are listed in our Cookie Policy. If one of them is down, ring us and we will book you in by hand.
