Vetted, not just willing.
Every helper is DBS-checked, insured, and interviewed in person before they ever visit your home. We’d only ever send someone we’d be happy to have in our own.

Arranging help for someone else
Living away from Mum or Dad? You can still sort it.
Book a visit for a parent, relative or friend from wherever you are. You choose the job and pay; we tell you who is coming; they know who to expect, with a code word at the door if you want one. If the job needs longer, the request comes to you to approve — nothing extra is ever agreed with them behind your back. And they always have the final say: if they don’t want us there on the day, we leave and we ring you.

Booked by the hour like everything else, minimum two hours. Cleared from the ground with a gutter vacuum — no ladders against your house, never onto a roof.
How it works →Every rate is per hour for one helper, and there is no VAT to add.
What it’s actually like
A person, not a platform.
We keep a small panel rather than a large, anonymous one, so we can vouch for every name on it. And if you get on with someone, ask for them by name next time — we offer them the booking on their own first, before anyone else sees it, though we can’t promise they’ll be free.
How it works
Three steps, and none of them are hard.
- You buy the time you wantOne, two, three or four hours, depending on the service, at a start time you choose, paid securely online. The price is the hours times the rate, you see the total before you pay, and you’re confirmed straight away.
- The first free helper takes itYour booking goes straight out to every helper who covers your village and does that work. Whoever is free first takes it, and messages you the day before with a tighter arrival time.
- They say what’s realistic, then get on with itYou are booking time rather than a fixed job, so your helper will tell you what can genuinely be done in it. You decide what matters most.

Join Moorstead Membership for priority booking and a monthly credit in pounds — spend it on any service, at our standard rates, and take 5, 10 or 15% off anything beyond it. Because the credit is money rather than hours, it is worth the same whichever service you spend it on.
